I really like the new "Spidey goes global" setup, although sometimes it is too much. Nice graphics and well written as ever.The hardcover version is super in quality and it's very massive with 10+ chapters. Can't wait for the further volumes.
I love Dan Slotts run on Spider-Man! Superior Spider-Man showed a grown-up Peter Parker (though it wasn't Peter) and what would be possible, if Peter wouldn't always find an excuse for not being successful. And Slot continued this kind of Spider-Man/Peter Parker in Amazing Spider-Man after Peter got control over his body again.But now in Worldwide Slott is pushing this approach too hard, in my opinion. Peter Parker is suddenly the founder of Parker Industries, a global corporation like Apple, and he has even SHIELD as customers like Stark Industries. Peter also seems to be a charity billionaire like Bill Gates or Mark Zuckerberg and is funding the "Uncle Ben's foundation" (it sounds a bit ridiculous since Uncle Ben's is a rice brand). He drives like James Bond and speaks Mandarin ...... I mean thats all a total overkill. I really liked the new Peter Parker, but why couldn't Slott just take a easy and modest approach. I would prefer Peter as founder of a New York startup company. That would fit. This is way too much and the story isn't that good too.But I blame it on Marvel, at least in parts. Guess they pushed Slott to totally exaggerate his approach on Peter.However, its definitely a downfall compared to the great Spider-Man story arcs Slott delivered the years before (though there were also better and worse ones, but most of them better).
